It's Not Just A
...
IT'S AN EXPERIENCE!
A guided educational tasting and social experience with Georgia’s first African American female Executive Bourbon Steward, where you will sharpen your palate, compare tastings, and elevate your senses!
About Me
My first introduction to bourbon was not the most pleasant, but it was intriguing. I tasted a few sips here and there and started looking for opportunities to sample a variety of brands any time I could, and absorb as much whiskey knowledge as possible. I would open myself up to learn at whiskey tastings, from brand educators, knowledgeable bartenders, or just plain ole' bourbon connoisseurs.
A chance exchange with one whiskey/bourbon connoisseur resulted in a suggestion that I expand my knowledge of the spirit through an educational platform at (Stave & Thief Society) that helped me "gain a strengthened understanding of the technical side of bourbon production, its history and relationship to other whiskeys, and the variety of aromas and flavors found in different expressions" (Louisville, KY). Soon, I found that bourbon was a social drink and something I could share ... something to learn more about, explore and enjoy
The pandemic of 2020 may have robbed us of precious time with family and friends interacting and co-mingling together, but we still found ways of experiencing the excitement of sharing the history and culture of drinking bourbon! To date, I've had the pleasure of conducting edu-tastings for professional organizations, businesses, and private individuals throughout the southeast.

1
Bourbon History
"Bourbon was born on the American frontier and came of age on Madison Avenue—and everything about its history reflects the nation that invented it. The story is cast with immigrants, industrialists, farmers, and hustlers, and set in fields, factories, boardrooms, and back rooms" (Reid Mitenbuler, 2017).
There are two types of alcoholic beverages (distilled and nondistilled) and both are produced through fermentation (creating alcohol) and distillation (separating and removing alcohol).
"We've created a safe, friendly environment for people to taste and learn because bourbon is best enjoyed with friends."
2
